Listen To This Space! Stereo Finally Comes to The Reading Room after 127 years!

The Reading Room Committee successfully applied for a multi-thousand pound grant from the Lottery Community Fund to pay for acoustic work to make the main hall less echoey, completely replace the old mono AV system (so we can have proper cinema sound and greatly improved playback of music), plus install a new disco lighting system for dance groups and parties. We hope to have this all installed before Christmas. August, 2021.
